MCCC Tuition, Fees to Increase 8 Percent
Montgomery County cut $5.25 million to the college.
Tuition and fees are to increase 8 percent next year at Montgomery County Community College, which the college said is due in part to cuts in county funding, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
A three-credit course will cost $405, while a 12-credit semester will cost $3,240 and a 15-credit semester will cost $4,050, according to an MCCC press release sent to Patch.
Tuition now makes up 55 percent of the college's operating budget, in comparison with 36 percent a decade ago.
