On Saturday, Jan. 22, Lower Merion School District students and their parents gathered at the Main Line Art Center in Haverford for the opening reception of the ISC Art Show.

The event, organized by the Lower Merion School District Interschool Council, took place from 1 to 4 p.m. Students, parents and teachers snacked while browsing over 200 pieces of art created by students from Lower Merion School District schools and chosen for display by school art teachers.

The exhibit is available to view through Jan. 30 during gallery hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 746 Panmure Road, Haverford.

Oh Sophie, the painting is so alive. The colors are vibrant and the composition is just right, with the pink border pulling the whole thing together. Bravo, bravo. Oh, and I love your nontoothy smile, very endearing. I love you, Grandma
