SEPTA Maps Local Farmers Markets

SEPTA tracks area produce summer stands.

Looking for a farmers' market?

Most people are familiar with what's in their own backyards, but when we leave that comfort zone we can get confused. Farmers' markets fit that bill.

Through a new website offering, SEPTA maps local farmers' markets that are within walking distance to local regional rail, bus, trolley or subway lines. Some even are based at SEPTA stations.

The map certainly is Philadelphia heavy, but also hits markets in towns wherever SEPTA runs lines. That includes Richardson Avenue in Langhorne, the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville, and the Swarthmore municipal building.

Locally, the Ardmore Farmers Market is highlighted, along with Bryn Mawr Farmers Market, Overbrook Farms Farmers Market, and the Bala Cynwyd Farmers Market.
