They won't be dramatic moves for either business, but a few changes are hitting the Ardmore Plaza Shopping Center this fall.

Kotatsu

Sushi and hibachi restaurant Kotatsu, located on Greenfield Avenue, has recently stopped offering its hibachi service. While the hibachi-style food will continue to be available, the restaurant is downsizing and will no longer offer table-side hibachi cooking, according to employee Tim Huynh.

Renovations are now underway to convert Kotatsu's hibachi dining room into a a new main dining room for the Japanese restaurant. The restaurant will stay open during construction and will still serve sushi, according to a sign on the door.

World Wide Stereo

While Kotatsu is downgrading, Bob and Ron's World Wide Stereo is movin' on up. The electronics store, located near the end of the Greenfield Avenue strip by DSW and Planet Fitness, will relocate to the storefront Kotatsu is vacating.

Employees of the store hope that the move will help get the store some more exposure.

"We have people that can't believe we've been here for 12 years," explained Eric Cohen, a sales and system design specialist at the electronics store.

While the store's inventory won't change much at the new location, it will afford the company a bigger storefront, Cohen said. For them, it's a step in a new direction and the chance to "build a new store from scratch," Cohen said. 

Cohen said World Wide Stereo is hoping to make the move sometime in late fall.
