First Friday Returns, Aug. 3

This month, the event features a diverse set of musical acts and photos highlighting Main Line people, places and events.

First Friday Main Line returns this week with its annual photography show. "Magic on the Main Line" will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in downtown Ardmore, and features artwork from a dozen local photographers who have photographed events, people and places on the Main Line.

Artwork will be displayed at Unleashed Pet Spa and Boutique, Jack McShea's, Past*Present*Future, Jack Burns Architecture, Firinji, EGO Salon, Armen Chevrolet and A Taste of Olive, according to the First Friday website.

Aside from the artwork, attendees can also enjoy a diverse array of musical performances at various venues throughout Ardmore:

  • Blues/reggae/folk-infused Sonoma Sound will play at Firinji from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Local R&B cover band Everyday People will play on Cricket Ave. from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m.
  • Phyllis Chapell, a folk/international singer from Bala Cynwyd—who can sing in 12 languages—will play at Past*Present*Future from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
  • Square Wheels, a guitar and clarinet duo, will play at Jack McShea's from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m.

The event is free.
