Crime Stats: Assault, Fraud, Retail Theft

A roundup of police calls the week of Nov. 5-11.

 

Lower Merion police responded to approximately 407 calls the week of Nov. 5 to 11 throughout Ardmore, Merion Station, Wynnewood, Penn Wynne and Haverford, down from about 592 calls for service received the previous week.

A version of the department's most recent report, sorted by the type of incident and culled of incidents throughout the rest of Lower Merion, is attached to this article.

Patch also has reported some incidents from the week of Nov. 5 that were relayed in a police briefing.

From Nov. 5 to 11, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 1 report of fraud by impersonation
  • 1 case of credit card fraud
  • 4 fires
  • 13 car accidents with damage
  • 1 simple assault
  • 1 case of retail theft of over $200
