Brownies 23 East is dropping the Brownies name, and along with that name change comes a makeover, owner Joe Rufo told Patch Thursday.

The bar and music venue is looking to make some changes and revamp their image. Among the changes is some fresh paint, a new stage, and a decision to book more popular acts, Rufo said.  

Friday night, the venue will be closing out the Brownies tradition with the final Main Line show for cover band Mr. Greengenes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online through 8 p.m.
