"398 calls the week of July 16...down from 351 calls the previous week."

That's Chamber of Commerce math. LOL

Can you find more details concerning the rape? (i.e. was this a random assault of someone walking in the area, domestic, date rape, etc?) What is the unit block of E. Spring Ave?

I believe Unit Block means 0-100. So the incident occurred on the 0-100 block of E. Spring Ave (which is between Cricket and Simpson according to Google Maps)

Yes, I would also like to know more details of the rape, as it happened close to my neighborhood! If it was just a random act that makes it more disturbing.

I'll look into the details of the rape.

For the record, these stats come from a blotter posted on the department website usually a week to several weeks later—and as you can see in the PDF above, minimal information is provided. Some of the incidents are given to us in more detail by the police at our weekly Monday briefing (thefts, public drunkenness, etc), but not all of them.

thank you, amanda. i'm also anxious because this is very close to my own place. what would be most helpful i think is knowing whether this was a stranger to the victim or someone they knew.
