Ardmore Patch Gets New Editor

After a year and a half of freelance reporting in Ardmore, I'm taking the reins as editor.

Good morning, Ardmore—I'm Amanda Mahnke, the new editor of the Ardmore-Merion-Wynnewood Patch.

If you haven't seen me around town in the past year and a half, it's likely you will soon.

I've been freelancing for Ardmore Patch (along with more than 10 other Patch sites in the region) since the site's inception in September 2010. In that time, I've covered everything from First Friday events to Lower Merion School District news, to the Barnes closing, to school plays, to new businesses opening up in town.

I'm excited to get involved in the Ardmore community, and looking forward to jumping into my new role as editor here—sharing the community's stories and keeping residents informed of what's going on around town.

If you have a news tip, a question you want answered, or think someone you know should be profiled on Ardmore Patch, shoot me an email at amanda.mahnke@patch.com or give me a call at 484-426-8706.

I look forward to meeting many of you—and if you see me working in a coffee shop around town or taking photos at an event, please say hello.

Marple Newtown Patch lost a great freelancer but Ardmore Patch has gained a great local editor. Congrats!

I second what Jenn said. Losing a freelancer but gaining a coworker is more sweet than bitter, though. Congrats!
