Ardmore 'Oktoberfest' on Building and Planning Committee's Agenda

The event would be held in September on Cricket Avenue.

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., Lower Merion Board of Commissioners chair Elizabeth Rogan and the Township's Building and Planning Committee will hold their regular monthly meeting.

On tonight's agenda, the committee will consider for recommendation to the Board a conditional use request for a property at 802 W. Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr; will hear a proposal for a Preliminary Open Space Preservation Subdivision Plan for the 9.3 acres of land that make up 1345 Conshohocken State Road and 1325 Club House Road in Gladwyne; and consider for recommendation a Tentative Sketch Plan by BMW of the Main Line.

The board will also mull a request from the Ardmore Initiative to suspend alcohol sales and consumption regulations for a one-day Oktoberfest celebration on Cricket Avenue in September. The event would be sponsored by McCloskey’s, Gillane’s Tavern, John Henry’s Pub of Ardmore, and others.

Look for coverage of the meeting Thursday morning on Patch.

The meeting will be held in the second floor boardroom of the Township's administration building, 75 E. Lancaster Avenue.
