5 Things To Know: Sept. 17-23
A heads up for those who live or work in Ardmore, Merion, Penn Wynne or Wynnewood.
1. All Lower Merion School District schools and administrative offices are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
2. Lower Merion Township department heads are set to discuss next year's funding needs with administration and Board of Commissioners officials at "Budget Saturday," a public meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the township administration building.
3. A continued hearing for the potential LA Fitness in Wynnewood Shopping Center will be held Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the township building's second floor board room. Read about the plans here and find out more about the last meeting here.
4. Citron and Rose, the new Merion restaurant to be run by Zahav's Michael Solomonov, will host an employment open house on Friday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., according to a Craigslist ad. The restaurant is hiring for front of house and back of house positions and will hold the open house at the restaurant, 370 Montgomery Ave., Merion Station.
5. Ardmore will host its Annual Community Festival on Saturday, during which residents can learn about local nonprofits and other organizations and how to get involved. The event runs from from noon to 3 p.m. in Suburban Square's courtyard.
