Should Businesses Near Homes Have Limited Hours? And More This Week

1. Both Ardmore Progressive Civic Association and ArdWood Civic Association meet Monday night.  Ardmore Progressive Civic Association meets at 7 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 127 Walnut Ave, Ardmore.  Ardwood Civic meets at 7:15 p.m. at Household of Faith Deliverance Church at the intersection of Linwood and Athens in Ardmore.

2. A meeting of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors' Education Committee, and a regular board meeting, are scheduled for Monday night at 8 p.m. The board meetings in the district administrative building's first floor board room (301 E Montgomery Ave, Ardmore).  The agenda will be posted here when available.

3. Wednesday night, Lower Merion's Board of Commissioners will discuss regulating hours of operation for businesses near residential districts. The board meets at 6 p.m. in the township administration building's second floor board room (75 E Lancaster Ave, Ardmore).  View the PDF, and view the agenda online

Our retail stores are already in enough trouble. The article should be about: Do residents near shopping districts want regulations to create vacant storefronts, drop home values due to over zealous regulations. Honestly- if you moved into a house next to shopping, you must have wanted the convenience? It's like buying a house on rte 30 and complaining about the pollution and noise of trucks.
