State officials on Monday have reported another case of West Nile Virus in Lower Merion mosquitoes, found at the Charles C. Knox Home in Wynnewood.
The three positive tests in Lower Merion make up half of the cases reported in Montgomery County in 2012. The other three were reported in Pottstown and Montgomery Township in late May and in Abington Township June 20, according to state records.
So far this year, the state has reported 185 mosquitoes, five birds and one horse with the virus.
Last year, Lower Merion reported five cases of the virus, all in mosquitoes.
