$11,000 In Jewelry Taken in Wynnewood Burglary, Police Say
Plus, another costly burglary this week from a construction site.
Lower Merion police reported two Wynnewood burglaries to news media at a Monday briefing.
Jewelry stolen from Wynnewood home: A home in the 500 block of Foxglove Lane in Wynnewood was burglarized on March 11 between 1:15 and 1:42 p.m., police said. The house’s alarm was activated when someone forced a back door open. The home was ransacked and about $11,000 in jewelry was taken, according to the report.
Burglary from construction site: Three spools of copper wire valued at $4,000 each were stolen from a construction site at Lankenau Hospital on March 16. According to the contractor, there have been numerous thefts on the site during the job.
A surveillance videotape shows two men putting the spools into a truck. They are described by police as a white man with black hair in his mid-20s with a black full beard, white and gray hoodie, dark pants, dark gloves and white sneakers and a white man with a long goatee wearing a gray t-shirt, ripped jeans and maroon baseball cap. An investigation is ongoing.
