Allentown, Pa. - Senior ERICA BASH (Wallingford, Pa./Friends' Central) was named co-captain of the 2012 Muhlenberg College cross country team.

Bash finished second on the team and 29th overall at the Centennial Conference Championships last year, helping the women's team to a fourth-place finish that matched the program's best performance at the conference meet. A three-time letterwinner, she also placed 13th overall in the short race at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational last September.

The Muhlenberg women's team placed seventh at the 2011 NCAA Mideast Regional, its best finish in program history. The Mules are scheduled to open their 2012 season at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., on Friday, August 31.
